The Ottawa, Illinois YMCA is proud to announce the appointment of Glenn Haley as its new Chief Executive Officer. Glenn brings decades of experience, a strong record of community impact, and a deep commitment to the YMCA mission to his new role in Ottawa.
Glenn joins the Ottawa YMCA from his most recent position as CEO of the Illinois State Alliance of YMCAs, where he led a statewide association of 43 non-profit YMCA organizations and 99 branches dedicated to strengthening individuals, families, and communities. Under his leadership, Illinois YMCAs served 667,895 residents in 2023 and provided $11.7 million in community assistance through scholarships and reduced-fee programs—demonstrating his unwavering commitment to accessibility and community support.
Before his statewide role, Glenn served as Interim President and CEO for several YMCA Associations across the United States, including Topeka, KS; Selma, AL; and Manitowoc, WI. In each community, he helped guide organizational renewal and growth by applying his expertise in fiscal management, board development, financial development, organizational development, program innovation, and community relations. His mission-driven leadership is
marked by a strong ability to bring together diverse groups of community leaders, volunteers, and staff to address complex challenges and create lasting solutions.
Glenn holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development and Leadership, Non-Profit Management from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts—an institution renowned for cultivating leaders in the YMCA movement.
